I would love to see JW & EW together. At this recent show it seemed to me that his playing was better and his voice sounded better than the past two times I saw him in the past Year and a half.

I'll definitely be going to see him again.

As you know jg I'm a big fan, so it's a bit disappointing to see he's making two excursions to Europe this year but there's no UK dates. Hope some gaps can be filled by hopping across the English Channel. Glad to hear he's sounding healthy.

My exp is E starts, and does more of his "pop", easily accessible stuff that gets most everyone there going, esp the non-blues, unfamiliar sorts. Then, J comes on, or I should say his out-standing blues band players, that play a high (!!) energy instrumental or two, and then J himself is helped on to the stage, into his chair, and just goes wild on his tiny little guitar (in a subtle way of course).

A real Blues Master; but having grown up with E more than J via the radio (early 70s), I love them both. EG, "Free-ride" is one of my all time favs in a pop kinda way...the HS DEAD coverband I worked with was sometimes associated with a more successful Bay Area cover band and they did a dueling guitars version of Free-ride that used to bring the local bars/gyms/etc down! So, it has a lot of sentimental value for me.

Hope you and the girls are having a good summer, and that visits, etc, are all cool with minimal "hassle"...
